B-Wise – Intelligent Monitoring System
Burlodge has always been at the forefront in developing ways to monitor and control the programming and operating information related to its meal delivery system equipment. Clients have seen the benefits in risk management and HACCP documentation.
The newest Burlodge HACCP monitoring and control system is called BWise, which works in conjunction with the latest electronics liquid crystal display on the carts available on the Novaflex, B-Pod, RTS, and Multigen equipment. In its maximum application, this on-line monitoring system allows you to control and monitor your Burlodge equipment via a remote computer. In this case the BNetWise+ application is used and it is an “up to the minute” control HACCP monitoring system, that gives you total control of your carts, an on/off button, a cycle start/stop, a temperature and time read out, trolley reprogramming, and an events and search facility. This enables you to see the status of all your carts at a glance using very user friendly software, e.g. rethermalization cycle, refrigeration cycle, holding cycle and cart switched on/off.
The software that Burlodge has developed is called B-Wise and this is the base that supports the HACCP and cart control processes. B-Wise is the database software that allows full management of cart programming, time and temperature events, historical, technical information and Smart card writing / programming.
With the optional food probe attached to the cart, food temperatures can be displayed and recorded in the control panel. The food temperature can also be linked to a menu.
The cart control panel is fitted with a SmartCard Reader slot which will allow the operator to download and program carts using a SmartCard (BCardWise and BCardWise+), that can be inserted into the cart when required. This eliminates the requirement to connect a PC to each cart. The card is then inserted into a CARD Reader that is connected to a PC to download or upload information. There are two types SmartCards:-
• BCardWise (blue card) allows user ID recognition and access and easy cycle programming simply by swiping the card
• BCardWise+ (yellow card) allows download of HACCP data from the cart, up to 32 carts can be transferred onto a PC in conjunction with the Burlodge “B-Wise” Software. The BCardWise+ can also be used for uploading future software upgrades onto the cart.
BNetWise+
The B-Wise system can also be networked with the option of “BNetWise+” via a LAN or Wifi network. This is achieved by adding an optional electronic board to cart which allows real time monitoring where information is accessed via a central PC in conjunction with the B-Wise Software.
The Burlodge BNetWise+ system is a compliment to Call Centre Concepts for today and into the future. The BNetWise+ is composed of an “up to the minute” control HACCP monitoring system, that gives you total control of your carts, an on/off button, a cycle start/stop, a temperature and time read out, cart reprogramming, and an events and search function. It also is capable of paging a person if a cart is in distress.
The Burlodge B-Wise & BNetWise+ system allows continuous electronic monitoring of every time and temperature operation carried out by the trolley and operator, putting you in control of HACCP and due diligence information and providing a paperless quality assurance program. It is a sophisticated yet simple to use management tool which allows complete monitoring of carts.
